In case of a problem, time is an extremely important
factor especially for the
piping industry. Fast response is essential to minimize
a negative impact on the
project. The SCHULZ advanced cold-forming technology
offers immediate
solutions in the case of urgent requirements for piping
components and butt
weld pipe fittings.
The development in the area of cold-forming of pipe fittings
reached a peak in
1986 with the construction of the SCHULZ 12.000 to. production
press.
Fittings such as elbows, tees or reducers of special
or standard material grades
with a wall thickness up to 6" can be produced by this special
press at short
notice. The cold-forming technique of SCHULZ does not
require special starting
materials but uses standard size pipe. This material
can either be available from
our own stock or within the market. Special grades may
also be obtained from
the customers’ job site.
Conventional production processes like hot-forming or
forging of fittings depend
on availability of special sized starting materials whereas
SCHULZ forms fittings
from the same diameter and wall thickness of pipe as
required for the straight
pipe in the corresponding system.
Besides flexibility in solving delivery problems, SCHULZ
cold-forming technology
makes it possible for fittings and pipes to be manufactured
from the same heat
resulting in more homogenous piping systems for standard
and special
applications. Our wide range of abilities in cold-forming
and our diversification in
heat treatment technology combined with the benefit
of single source responsi-
bility did lead us to our unique position in the market. |
